ABOUT
This class is for anyone interested in obtaining a Georgia Class III Drinking Water Operator Certification, who does not already work at a utility. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to prepare participants for the technical, safety, and regulatory demands of the profession. Trainees will gain the skills necessary to operate and maintain water treatment facilities while ensuring compliance with state and federal standards. This course provides the required training hours for the Georgia Class III Drinking Water Operator Certification (40 hours) and meets the WPI Need-to-Know topics.
COURSE SCHEDULE
In-person attendance is required. The class will meet on the TWT campus once a week, on Tuesdays, from August 18h through December 15th, from 9am-3pm. Weekly online assignments will be posted on Google Classroom. In-person job-shadowing will be held weekly, with flexibility on the day to accommodate trainee's schedule. In-person attendance and completion of weekly virtual assignments are required for attendance.

This class is for entry level trainees, who are not currently working at a utility. Registration fees are covered by TWT, through a grant. To register, follow the steps below:
